Festival³ on 9 May: traffic and activities in Sierck-les-Bains.

For Europe Day on 9 May 2026, the Three Borders area hosts Festival³, a cross-border event bringing several towns together for a festive, convivial moment.

From Apach to Perl, Sierck-les-Bains and Schengen, the festival puts European cooperation centre stage with a programme for everyone.

Radio Tripoint had the opportunity to talk to Ms Hélène Hammond, mayor of Sierck-les-Bains, about the organisation of the event.

Traffic: expect changes

The mayor asks residents to plan their journeys in advance:

“Several roads will indeed be temporarily closed, in particular the tourist road through the town as well as some main routes in the surrounding area. Of course, diversions will be put in place to make traffic easier.”

Despite these adjustments, the aim is clear: to make this day a moment of exchange and discovery.

“But that shouldn't stop you from enjoying the event!”
