Europe's youth: between worry and hope for the future.
Cost of living, jobs, climate, security… many young Europeans look to the future with a degree of concern.

Cost of living, jobs, climate, security… many young Europeans look to the future with a degree of concern. But this generation has not given up hope.
Being young in Europe today also means imagining a future in a context marked by many uncertainties. European surveys show that the cost of living, the environment, jobs and security issues rank high among the concerns of 16 to 30-year-olds. In the latest Eurobarometer on youth, 40% cite rising prices and the cost of living as one of their main worries for the future.
The climate also remains a major issue, as does access to jobs and housing. Above all, the young people surveyed want Europe to do more for the economy, jobs, the environment and social protection.
But behind these concerns there is also a real will to believe in the future. The latest European data show that 15 to 30-year-olds are among the generations most positive about the European project. In the autumn 2025 Eurobarometer, 65% of young people said they were optimistic about the future of the European Union, and 80% about their own future and that of their family.
And in the Greater Region?
In France, Germany and Luxembourg, these questions take on a particular dimension. Studying, finding a job, finding housing, crossing borders or starting a family: for many young people in our region, this is everyday life.
So what are young people in the Greater Region really afraid of? And what still gives them confidence in the future?
That too is the role of a local radio station like Radio Tripoint: to listen to this generation, understand its concerns and give it a voice.
A worried youth, perhaps. But certainly not a youth without hope.
