Ahead of the summer holidays, Radio Tripoint is launching its cross-border prevention and awareness campaign “A summer without danger”, running from 21 June to 10 July 2026.
The campaign is aimed at young people, families and the whole border region. Its goal is simple: to explain, inform and raise awareness, without judging, about the risks of addictive and health-endangering behaviour.
In summer, young people are often more exposed to parties, groups, new experiences and sometimes peer pressure. Radio Tripoint therefore wants to use its voice as a local media outlet to remind everyone that a good time must never turn into a danger.
The campaign covers several topics:
Laughing gas, also known as “balloons”, with rising numbers of poisonings. In 2023, the French addiction monitoring network recorded 472 reports linked to its use, 30% more than in 2022. The consequences can be serious: loss of consciousness, accidents, neurological disorders, difficulty walking, and even paralysis.
Cannabis and THC, especially among teenagers and young adults whose brains are still developing. The campaign highlights the risks to memory, concentration, motivation and mental health.
Alcohol and tobacco, often played down but responsible for dependence, loss of control, accidents and lasting health consequences.
Screens, video games and social media, which can also lead to isolation, lack of sleep, anxiety, a constant need for approval and the loss of social contact.
Through visuals, radio messages and online posts, Radio Tripoint wants to encourage young people to make informed choices, take care of themselves and protect their friends.
The campaign's central message is clear:
A summer without danger and without addiction. Inform today to protect tomorrow.
Because a successful summer is a summer where everyone gets home safely.
